Take the stress out of moving
Moving tips
Area rugs
Vacuum and/or professionally clean your rugs before moving to avoid transferring dirt or debris to your new space. Use plastic wrap or a rug storage bag to protect your rug from moisture, dirt, or damage during the move.
Furniture
Use blankets, padding, or bubble wrap to protect your furniture from scratches, dents, or other damage. Take apart any furniture that can be disassembled to make it easier to move and protect fragile parts.
Houseplants
Don't wait until the last minute to start packing and organizing, as this can lead to stress and delays. Focus on important tasks first, such as booking movers and packing essential items.
Heavy Items
Use appropriate tools such as dollies, hand trucks, straps, and furniture sliders to move heavy items safely and maintain clear communication among team members to coordinate movements and avoid accidents.
Small Items
Use sturdy, appropriately sized boxes and packing materials such as bubble wrap, packing paper, and cushioning to protect small items during the move and also pay attention to items that require special handling, such as batteries, flammable materials, or valuable items that need extra security.
